Well.. just got in last night from a week down in Florida visiting relatives. Was down there for Turkey Day and I seem to have upped my year count by one as well. Go me! Sorta :P Another year older sounds bad to some but to me .. I dunno, I don't really feel different so .. *shrug*

It was an exciting week.. lemme tell ya. I managed to start and finish a full play through of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and two and a half play throughs of Silent Hill Origins. I've gotten all but the last few accolades.. the bad ending, the firearms one, the codebreaker one (just forgot to do it before, honestly :P), the daredevil one, and the cartographer one. So.. so far no saving and no map looking (haven't even been picking the things up) and I've been zapping the hell out of everything I see with the tesla rifle.. only been touched by one enemy so far and I'm in the theater ;D

So.. to sum it up: we sat around. A LOT. It wasn't so bad, to be honest. I did have a week away from the phones at the office. And I always enjoy a good road trip. It was neat seeing relatives I hardly ever see. Though they're a bit .. well, let's say close-minded. I was getting a little tired of hearing their complaints about this religion or that gender issue.. I'm, as always, a 'I don't care what people wanna do' sorta person. If it doesn't harm me, them, or others.. what business is it of mine? But not everyone has the same feelings which can be sad. I ended up being escorted to their church a few times. Not much of a church person m'self but .. I wanted to be a good guest. I thought it a little odd that they threw a 'those who don't agree will burn eternally' part into the Thanksgiving speech. Not really sure what burning has to do with a Thanksgiving Feast sorta thing. I'm relatively hard to offend so I just let it slide.

I think the highlight of the trip was when I was sitting in a recliner puttering around with my DS.. my aunt was puttering around with hers.. and my mother with hers. It somehow seemed.. right X3 I thought it a might bit odd that they have an HD TV but no media PC, game console, or Blu-Ray player to go with it. I survived though. Sleep time there seemed to be somewhere between 10 and 11 most nights but luckily the 'broken' TV in the guest room was only due to it having its video cable disconnected. I plugged it back in and vegged until I passed out after everyone else turned in X3 I watched sooooo many reruns of Chopped and Family Guy XD

It wasn't all just turkey (though admittedly we had turkey for like 4 or 5 meals in a row). On Sunday my and my mother managed to slip away for a while to visit the Gulf of Mexico. I hadn't been down to it since I was like 8 so it was neat seeing the place were I used to swim as a kid. I miss that.. mental note: go down there again when it's summer and do some snorkel+fins+mask=win. Then I ate some alligator. Strangely enough it was at the same restaurant that I had had it before at years and years ago. It was alligator-licious. :9

Drove back home on Tuesday. Did a little light sight seeing with my mother on the way back and ate at what might have been the coldest Denny's on the planet. All in all, a good time. But I was glad to finally drive back to my apartment after parting ways with my mother for the night. Sleeping in my own bed and bathing in my own tub (rather than the stand-alone shower I used down there) is so much better after being gone for a while. And, of course, my PS3 was there to welcome me (oh, and my roomie was there too :P). I had decided before I left to purchase both Mega Man 9 and Critter Crunch.

Mega Man 9 didn't have a full game download.. just the unlock thingie. So I bought that. .. And then wasn't able to find the demo for download anymore. You know.. the thing that gets unlocked. So.. I was miffed. I checked my bank balance and it seemed that I didn't get charged for that one so, while I was still not happy, I wasn't too upset. Over the weekend the charge hit. I was, let's say, less than thrilled. Then, this morning, I find the demo in my previous downloads list. Yay! So I download it and get into it .. and I get thoroughly thrashed by the beginning of stages XD This.. this will take some work.

So, that pretty much brings things up to date. I'm back to play some games :D Still need to finish that final play through of Silent Hill Origins, too :3 Not to mention all the games I still need to buy and/or finish.. still need to hit lvl 50 in Borderlands.. still need to start Valkyria Chronicles.. etc, etc...
